Hi, I’m Caru Bowns
Founder of CBC eLandscapes. 

By training and work experience, I am a community planner certified by the AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) and a landscape designer. As a planner, I have worked with communities in Sacramento, the Bay Area, Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna River Valley, the Middle East and Brazil, engaging residents in their communities’ physical and economic revitalization efforts. From parks to market streets, I believe good design is a collaborative process, one that can produce beautiful and vibrant environments that endure.

As a landscape designer, I find inspiration in the many parks, gardens and landscapes I have visited and studied. I am always excited to translate and apply design ideas to urban and suburban projects, helping homeowners’ realize their garden dreams. Cottage gardens, parterres, potagers, knot gardens, rockeries and garden follies — any of these elements may be on your wish list. We can create transcendent, sustainable gardens and landscapes to live in and enjoy for seasons and years to come.

CBC eLANDSCAPES is observant of Sacramento’s distinct landscape character and the need to conserve its unique ecosystems. Our design mission and practice align with efforts by City of Sacramento River Friendly Landscape (RFL) Program, ReScape California, UC Cooperative Extension, UC Master Gardener Program, and others.
